LET'S PLAY CATCH-UP

I have really slacked on my blog posts.  I guess the end of the school year has turned back into that whirlwind that shows it's face right around April.  So here are a few things from the last few weeks:

We sent Mrs. Newton off in style.

The book really came out great.  If you need a fun gift to a "future" teacher, check out my "Super Teacher" gift book at my TPT store HERE.

I got to visit my Grandmother and spend mother's day with her AND my mom!  It was so nice to be around my family.  We even were there for a couple of cousin's graduation party and so we visited with everyone we could find.  It was a quick trip but definitely heart-warming!  Once we got back into TX, I was the lucky soul who had the "Take the Teenagers To Take Their Driver's License Test" job.  Wowza!!  That was a memory I'll never forget.  We have two 16yr. olds that both were ready.  My main job was the paper work and my hubby's was the vehicle.  Well, needless to say, I took care of my side of the work and didn't figure out that his wasn't until one of them was in the vehicle line to take off.  After a few trips here and there to get a vehicle with both front and back plates (MOUNTED), we finally got it accomplished.  The kids are official!
Grandma Helen & My Momma
It has been a zoo at school lately!  Let's begin with our Butterflies.  4 out of the 5 chrysalises hatched into Painted Lady butterflies and we released them into the wind.  It was a perfect end to our Science focus on plants, animals, and insect life cycles.  But that wasn't the only excitement.  The kids finished up their Animal Reports with Google Presentations.  They were awesome!!  Then, one day, our lesson was interrupted by a little friend that was peeking in through our window.  And last but not least, our principal, Mr. Aston lived up to his word and hugged a SNAKE!!  He actually did it.  It was all to celebrate the great amounts of reading our school has done with our library program this year.

And that's my Five for Friday.  Linking up with Doodle Bugs again.  Stop by and enjoy the fun.  Don't forget to enter for the GIVEAWAYs!!

My First Giveaway!!

I just want to celebrate...celebrate..yeah!

I'm on a roll.  I have some great goals set for this summer: Graduate School, BIG Teaching Conferences, R&R, a possible road trip, and of course getting my TPT store filled up!  As most of you know about my beginnings with TPT, you know about my Super-Dee-Duper FEAR FACTOR project which was my first upload.
From that first upload, I wanted to make a Multiplication version for my teacher friends with those bigger kiddos.  Well...let's just say it's been in the works... the      L---O---N---G works.  But guess what??  It is finally completed!  I sorta had a fire lit under my pockets by a "frienemie" and so I finished it up (long story about the "frienemie" -- saved for another time).

To celebrate my original goal and accomplishment, I thought why not have a Giveaway of those two "Super Sized" products.

Check out my Rafflecopter:

Yeah.  That's right.  I did that.  I'm so proud of myself.  I wanted to try it out.  Now let's see what kind of response I get.  I will be giving out 1 copy of the Addition & Subtraction product and 1 copy of the Multiplication version.  Each person has up to 8 entries.  If you want to know more about the products, stop by my store by clicking each one above.

This year has been my most successful year with Fear Factor.  I'm pretty sure all but 3 or 4 students will have "Mastered" all their facts by the end of the year.  To read more about what Fear Factor is, take a look at my very first blog post HERE.

Here's some pics of us using Fear Factor in action:

It's another CURRENTLY: May!

I'm just running a few days late.  I couldn't seem to find any time with my laptop over the last few days so I'm playing catch up.  At the top of my list: May's CURRENTLY link-up with Farley over at Oh' Boy 4th Grade.
Listening - For some reason I woke up with some of the songs from Pitch Perfect playing in my head, so I decided to put the movie on while I sat with my laptop in my lap this morning.  & of course, I can't just watch/listen...I have to sing along here and there.

Loving - This weekend, my hubby and I had a few adventures a little outside our normal weekend routine.  The biggest one was a quick trip to Austin for a family member's 65th birthday celebration.  It was a black tie event and so we had fun dressing up.
Thinking - I was tempted to get my run in this morning but I think I decided to wait until it cools down and run this evening instead.  Mid-day runs are not my favorite.

Wanting - On Wednesday night, we are going to fly out to visit my mom and grandmother in NM.  It is sort of an unanticipated trip but it is always exciting to see loved ones.  So now I'm going to hope that the next few days FLY by!!

Needing - Ugh!!  Why does it never end??  And I'm not even talking about laundry for the entire family.  The kids each have their own day to wash their own clothes so I'm only talking about the hubby and me.  It never ends!!!

Surprise!! - I have recently linked up with some fellow teacher bloggers and am so excited to create this collaboration team of new friends.  So far it is so neat to learn about them through their blogs, Facebook,  TPT stores, & Instagram.  There are 10 of us!!  That's a great team of collaborators.  I decided to try and learn about each one.  Today I have been focusing on this new blogging buddy: Amy at Learning Lessons with Mrs. Labrasciano.  Stop by and read about all her wonderful ideas!

Learning Lessons with Mrs. Labrasciano
I'll have to find some more time to share about some of the other great blogging buddies I am excited to get to know.  Keep a lookout for more.
